OKR Coach Training Program
Organizational Development
To sustainably anchor working with the Objectives & Key Results (OKR) framework in organizations, internal experts are needed to guide and steer the process. The OKR Coach Training imparts methodological expertise and practical coaching skills, enabling organizations to work independently with OKRs over the long term.
The Assignment
To embed the OKR framework sustainably beyond consulting projects, we were commissioned to train internal OKR coaches.
Our goal was to equip dedicated employees with solid methodological knowledge and strong coaching competencies to ensure OKRs are actively lived and strategically developed over time.
Our Approach
1. Multi-module training for aspiring OKR coaches
The training consists of three practice-oriented modules building on each other to teach methodological and communication skills.
2. Methodological deep dive (Module 1)
Participants gain a deep understanding of the OKR methodology, its applications, and how to integrate it into existing organizational structures.
3. Interactive moderation exercises (Module 2)
Focus on practical implementation: participants practice moderating various OKR formats, gain experience in process facilitation, and handle typical challenges. The final module centers on coaching practice. Future OKR coaches apply their knowledge, reflect on their role, and prepare for real-world deployment.
4. Developing coaching skills (Module 3)
The final module centers on coaching practice. Future OKR coaches apply their knowledge, reflect on their role, and prepare for real-world deployment. A certificate is awarded upon successful completion.
The Result
Internal OKR coaches acquire the capabilities to independently support their organizations in introducing and continuously evolving OKRs.
The combination of methodological knowledge and practical experience ensures the framework is sustainably embedded in the corporate culture and continuously improved.
OKR thrives on active guidance and ongoing development — this training lays the foundation for that.
