Leadership in Agile Product Development
Leadership
Agile teams need clarity, direction, and psychological safety—that is, leadership. But leadership in agile environments works differently: less control, more enablement. In this program, we supported leaders in developing the mindset and skills to empower agile product teams—fostering self-organization, ownership, and real impact.
The Assignment
We designed and facilitated a leadership development program for organizations ranging from startups to ministries. The goal: to redefine leadership roles and responsibilities within agile product teams, foster enabling leadership styles, and strengthen coordination and communication in interdisciplinary settings.
Our Approach
1. Role Clarity & Leadership Mindset
Exploring the leadership role in agile contexts: accountability without control, enabling ownership and team dynamics.
2. Agile Leadership Toolbox
Training practical tools like Delegation Poker, Kanban for Leaders, and goal-review formats to support agile work on an operational level.
3. Leadership as Relationship Work
Strengthening communication, feedback skills, conflict facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration.
4. Strategy, Prioritization & Stakeholder Management
Supporting leaders in aligning teams with company strategy, establishing clarity on goals, and communicating priorities effectively.
