Cultural Analysis & Transformation Journey

Organizational Development

Future readiness requires cultural clarity. The Evangelische Bank set out to understand how prepared its organization – including its subsidiaries – was for transformation. The result: a data-driven cultural assessment, a collaboratively developed action plan, and the beginning of a long-term transformation journey.

The Assignment

Commissioned by Evangelische Bank – a sustainability-oriented financial institution with over 400 employees – we conducted a comprehensive cultural analysis. The goal was to uncover key cultural factors such as connectivity, adaptability, and psychological safety – particularly through comparing self-perceptions of leadership with those of employees. Based on the findings, we co-created a tailored transformation journey and concrete capability-building formats, consolidated into an actionable measures catalog. This formed the foundation for ongoing collaboration, including the rollout of an OKR system.

Our Approach

1. Mixed-Methods Cultural Analysis

A combination of a company-wide survey and in-depth interviews across all levels of hierarchy, enabling robust and contextualized insights.

2. Alignment of Perceptions

Comparison of leadership and employee perspectives on key cultural attributes such as openness, adaptability, and trust.

3. Development of Focus Areas & Transformation Journey

Identification of priority development areas and design of a transformation roadmap with targeted training and engagement formats for leaders and teams.

4. Dashboard & Implementation Planning

Creation of a digital cultural dashboard for progress tracking and initial implementation of key actions. The process laid the groundwork for future projects, including an OKR implementation.

The Result

Evangelische Bank now has a clear, data-based view of its cultural starting point and a concrete action plan – parts of which are already being implemented. The transformation journey has officially begun, with first formats in active use. The project established a solid foundation for structured organizational development – including the subsequent introduction of OKRs.

  • Design and execution of the cultural analysis
  • Facilitation of participatory reflection and development formats
  • Co-creation and presentation of the transformation journey
  • Development of a digital dashboard for cultural steering
  • Strategic input for follow-up projects such as the OKR rollout
